Home Alarm Battery Check

Regular load shedding may have impacted the life span of your alarm battery so please check it regularly.

The battery exists as a back-up for your alarm system so that if the power goes down during load shedding, or any other reason, your alarm system will remain active, responsive and continue to protect your home.

If you have noticed that you need to replace your battery regularly as a result of deep discharge damage you may want to consider acquiring a Lithium equivalent which may be better able to handle the regular discharge without the damage.

If an alarm is triggered because of a power surge or because of loadshedding, contact your home safety security provider to cancel the false alarm so that they can focus their response resources only on legitimate emergencies.
