Cooking up a Storm during Lockdown

Many of us are spending more time in the kitchen during lockdown. Sometimes experimenting with new ingredients, creating wholesome family favourites or working magic with some pantry ingredients.

Join in the fun and share your learnings, recipes, tips and tricks for submission into a cookbook which will be released later this year. HBNW will be designing and releasing a cookbook highlighting all interesting things happening in kitchens across Hout Bay during the lockdown period. The aim of this project is to raise funds for 2021 safety, security and community projects.

Tips for Recipe Submission

  • Share a photo – either of the ingredients, the finished dish or yourself.
  • We love reading the back story so be sure to tell us how you came up with the recipe.
  • If you have any helpful tips or tricks – please share them.
  • Feel free to submit as many recipes as you like.
